Happy 2010
We have enjoyed spending the last few days of the year in CA visiting with my family. I saw my maternal grandparents. My grandmother was recently diagnosed with blood cancer, yet has been recovering well and as of the last test has no more tumor growths. Christmas was fun with my Dad and his new wife Meg and her daughter Annie (from Nor-Cal) We went on a double date to Universal City Walk with Rayna and Travis, spent some time with my mom and Jesse. Visited with Mark's sister and my family Friend the Westover's in Corona seeing a recently returned missionary. But as we start off the new year, it starts on a sad note, we lost our dog Rico to an unforeseen accident and with too expensive vet bill, had to put to sleep on Dec 30. I'll spare you all the gory details, but he was run over by my father's jeep, he ran under the back tire and got pretty banged up but seems alright. So this year will be different but as I write this (2/26) almost 2 months ago we still think about him, but we just think about getting a new one once we move into a house. So here is to our family and Rico. We love you all.

CMA Awards & Daughtry performs
Mark and I have been impressed every time Chris Daughtry sings, from the first day we saw him on American Idol back in 2005. We even had a chance to see him in concert last year for our anniversary. With his 2nd CD " Leave this town" he does a duet with country music legend Vince Gill, in which they performed live for the first time their hit song "Tennessee Line". This song has made a huge impact on my personal life. The story basically talks about wanting to run away from problems, and yet realizing that in order to really "fix things" you have to face them. Its a song about wanting forgiveness and truly desiring to change. I'd like to share the lyrics with you all. Music is an important part in my life and it seems I really respond to music, even spiritually. Such things as marrying Mark, and other important change I needed to make in my life to make it right... you get the picture. Here is the lyrics Enjoy!
Tennessee Line Lyrics
I open my lungs
To breathe in forgiveness and love
Haunting me now, reminders of how I used to be
I know down the road
My troubles are sure to follow
Looking out the window
Hell if I know where I will go
So I will just keep on driving
On my way to L.A.
Looking into the rear view
As the roads fade away
Sworn off my past
The first and last bad call that I ever made
Tell me how to make right
Every wrong turn I've learn
That this can all end tonight
Tennessee line just changed my mind
It's my heart I'll follow this time
Who would've known
That pride is so hard to swallow
As I rest on the shoulder of a road
Growing colder, with the trouble on I own
Should I just keep on driving
On my way to L.A.
Looking into the rear view
As the roads fade away
Sworn off my past
The first and last bad call that I ever made
Tell me how to make right
Every wrong turn I've learned
That this can all end tonight
Tennessee line just changed my mind
It's my heart I'll follow this time
I know I must be doing something right
Head the other way back to where I started out
Ask myself if I can turn it all around tonight
And stop living with doubt
On my way to L.A.
Looking into the rear view
As the roads fade away
Sworn off my past
The first and last bad call that I ever made
Tell me how to make right
Every wrong turn I've learned
That this can all end tonight
Tennessee line just changed my mind
It's my heart I'll follow this time
